BUILDING MORE THAN A PERGOLA AT CUCKOO

There’s something special about building with people who genuinely share your values — quality, community, and creating spaces that bring people together. That’s exactly why collaborating with James Robertshaw on our new pergola project has been such an exciting journey for us at Cuckoo.

From the very beginning, this project was never just about adding another feature to the site. It was about continuing to invest in the experience our customers have when they visit us. We wanted to create a space that feels welcoming all year round — somewhere people can gather with friends and family, celebrate special moments, relax over great food and drinks, and make lasting memories together, whatever the Lancashire weather decides to bring.

Working alongside talented local partners like Matthew Garrett and the wider team at James Robertshaw has allowed us to keep our commitment to supporting local businesses firmly at the heart of this project. Investing back into our local community matters deeply to us. By collaborating with businesses close to home, we hope to play a small part in helping drive tourism across Lancashire and encouraging more people to discover everything this incredible area has to offer.

What makes this pergola even more exciting is that it introduces the UK’s first-to-market Motion Pergola system — an innovative design that brings flexibility, comfort, and a completely new experience to outdoor hospitality spaces.

We’re incredibly proud of what’s being created and even more excited for what comes next. We can already picture the pergola and Peckish Food Yard filled with good conversation, great drinks, live atmosphere, and even better company throughout the months ahead.
