How the devil are we!?
I come to you this time from our very own abode of Brindle Distillery. We are very lucky to be based where we are. Brindle is a beautiful part of Lancashire, with a huge history and legend surrounding it and now a legendary distillery as the hub!
Our doors are always open here at Brindle, we welcome people to nip in for a chat and to see what we do. We are proud to showcase that we do everything here, on site and with our very own hands! With a little help from Maggie of course, she does all the hard work really!
One way you can experience our distillery in all its glory is by attending one of our Cuckoo Gin Tours. You may have seen these on our Instagram account if you follow us (if you don’t, you should and its @cuckoogin) as we always remain very active on social media. These are for up to 30 people and we love hosting these. This is our opportunity to really showcase what we do here. We talk our guests through the humble beginnings Mark & Gerrard coming up with an idea to diversify a piece of farmland that’s been in the family for 100 years to where we are now, all over Britain and beyond sharing our story. On top of this, our guests are shown round the distillery and the surrounding farmland. Of course, none of this would be a Cuckoo Gin Tour without some gin thrown in! 4 drinks in total and an opportunity to pick the brains of Mark & Tom. We’re not scared of throwing a few cheese & meat boards in there either! We also offer £5 off a bottle, which always proves popular!
Another and perhaps our most popular experience is our Brindle Distillery Workshop. These are not to be missed out on. As well as a tour, 5 drinks, nibbles and the full spiel from the guys, you are able to become the master distiller for the day and leave having made your very own bottle of 70cl gin! Don’t worry, we don’t just throw you in at the deep end, we talk you through how to build a recipe and how to finely balance your gin. With over 50 botanicals to choose from, there is a gin to be made for everyone! Dive into sarsaparilla, baobab powder, chamomile, kafir lime leaf, sumac and of course juniper! We have had some fantastic gins made by our guests up to now and they keep getting better and better!
